Whitepaper: Does one size really fit all?

Out there is a diverse and confusing world of strategic software vendors, and many repeat the same message: "we are your one-stop-shop for resource and data management." But is uniformity really the best solution for your business, or does it make more sense to intelligently select and integrate the products best suited to your industry and corporate needs?

A white paper from Siperian (pdf format) entitled "Master Data Management: The Myth of a Single Vendor Platform" challenges the vendor lock-in of one-size-fits-all that the largest software vendors are touting in favor of an open, bespoke approach. Two pages of content review of the broad issues including the importance of data and system differentiation, and the flexibility that multi-vendor strategies allow in ‘testing the waters’ with MDM, instead of having to commit to rolling your entire infrastructure.
